Ohio Lawmakers Approve $2.4 Billion Plan to Cut Soaring Property Taxes đ

Source: DDN
The Ohio House just approved two major bills that would deliver $2.4 billion in property tax relief to homeowners statewide. The first measure caps how much school district taxes can rise saving an estimated $1.7 billion while the second limits âinside millageâ taxes used by cities and counties, cutting costs by up to $760 million.
Lawmakers say the move aims to protect homeowners from soaring tax bills driven by rising property values, with changes expected to show up on 2026 tax statements if the Senate signs off.
